Smart India Hackathon 2019 Hardware Edition winners announced

·    Bhartiya Skill Development University hosted the Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon 2019 Hardware Edition
·    250 teams from all over the country participated in the competition at 18 centers nationwide
·    Ministries and companies which provided problem statements announced winners at each center
Jaipur, 13th July, 2019 .  The Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon 2019 Hardware edition concluded today at Bhartiya Skill Development University, Jaipur where the winners were announced.  The Smart India Hackathon 2019 was organised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India and Bhartiya Skill Development University was one of the nodal centers hosting the national level competition, other centers included institutes like IITs, NITs, and top engineering colleges across India. The chief guest at the concluding ceremony was Professor M.P. Punia, Vice Chairman, AICTE, and other dignitaries on the dais were, Mr. Jayant Joshi, MD, RS India, Mr. Abhishek Joshi, MD, RUFIL, Dr. (Brig.) Surjit Singh Pabla, Vice Chancellor, BSDU, and Dr. Ravi Goyal, Director, Admission, BSDU.
Dr. (Brig.) Surjit Singh Pabla, Vice Chancellor, BSDU, said, “We are truly honored to have hosted the Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon 2019 Hardware Edition. The smart young minds of our country have performed exceptionally in the competition, and all projects were well thought and executed in well manner. These projects will provide a helping hand in developing our nation and become excellent examples to the rest of the world.”
250 teams participated at the event, wherein they worked on developing smart hardware for central government, state government and big industries. Participants also worked on finding out solutions to hardware problems. Ministries such as the Ministry of Water Resources, Ministry of Coal, Ministry of Road Transport, Ministry of AYUSH, Ministry of Power, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Textiles, and companies such as GE Healthcare, Shree Cement Ltd., Adani Group, and Dell EMC provided teams with problem statements to which they had to provide solutions. The final results of the Grand Finale of the Smart India Hackathon 2019 Hardware Edition were announced today. The Ministry of Water Resources, GE Healthcare and DellEMC announced winning teams participating at BSDU and awarded them. The winners are as follows:

GE Healthcare rewarded winners with a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh each.
Ministry of Water Resources:
The winning team was rewarded with a cash prize of Rs 50,000

Bhartiya Skill Development University is a skill development university which is working towards bringing excellence to the skill development industry in India by providing an apt environment by providing proper training, quality infrastructure, and well-designed curriculum to students and making them skilled by training them to be ready to compete at international levels. Students get trainings under experts and gain experience of working properly with machinery. The university provides practical training to students and follows the 1 students= 1 machine motto to give each individual better training.
