Winners of the 7 th Annual Shriram Awards for Excellence in Financial Journalism Announced

  • Eminent journalist Mr. Prem Shankar Jha conferred with Lifetime Achievement Award
  • Winners selected from over 2,500 nominations
Mumbai, June 4, 2019: The 7 th Annual Shriram Awards for Excellence in Financial Journalism were presented in four categories at a gala awards function organised by the Shriram Group on 31 st May 2019 at the Trident, Nariman Point, Mumbai. Mr. Ajay Piramal, Chairman, Shriram Capital and Prof. R. Vaidyanathan, Professor of Finance, IIMB[Retd] and Cho S. Ramaswamy Chair Professor at Sastra University, Tanjore , Tamil Nadu felicitated all the awardees.
Mr. Prem Shankar Jha was conferred with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the 7 th  Edition of the Shriram Awards for Excellence in Financial Journalism. The esteemed winners and runners up for the various categories is as follows:
Economic Policy

Economic Times Runners-Up: Sachin P Mampatta, Advait Rao Palepu and Amritha Pillay for their body of work Affirmative Action in India Inc Series (Three Part):
1. Marginal increase in reporting of sexual harassment cases at top 100 firms
2.Jobs few and far between for the differently abled in corporate India
3.Women in workforce? A work in progress, even in India's largest companies, published in Business Standard The event was attended by distinguished personalities from various walks of life including bureaucrats and corporates from the public and private sectors who encouraged the awardees.
